A Tumblr to collect the best suggestions for that wonderful game Minecraft. As it is still in development, and its creator, Notch, has yet not a full and definitive view on what it will end up being, it is very open to suggestions. But like he has stated before, he prefers short suggestions over long descriptions. I'll add that a picture is worth a thousand words.

there’s a problem with this. What is the advantage of it to be on a 2x2 grid, since you need a pickaxe crafted on a 3x3 to take cobblestone?
I HAD A WONDERFUL IDEA FOR MINECRAFT
It would be to render block opacity first.
In one video, jeb_ explained that it takes 20bits per block to calculate, and a chunk is 16^3 blocks=4096, so 81920 bits/chunk. If you render only opacity (whether a block is solid or air) it takes only 1 bit/block, so 4096bits /chunk. It means you could see the shapes of the world much further for the same data cost! and it would render 20x faster!

If you’re registered on brohoster, it went down today. But if you type it in google, you will see it’s down forever, as the company crashed. Refunds and backups are unsure.

to advertise about this Tumblr over your Minecraft-optimistic friends, as it’s in their interest that it becomes big.
Add suggestions, pictures, ideas, anything! (grammar mistakes) I’ll add what I think is essential for the evolution of the game, that is in the spirit of Minecraft, and only what Mojang hasn’t announced yet.
